Morris County To 'Rally Against Hate' Thursday
The goal is standing united against hatred and bigotry targeted at the Jewish community and other faiths, organizers said.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ - Morris County community leaders are gathering Thursday and are inviting residents as part of the “Community Rally Against Hate’’ at 5 p.m. in Randolph, with a goal of standing united against hatred and bigotry that recently has targeted the Jewish community and other faiths in our state and nation.
“We cannot tolerate the attacks that are being perpetrated against members of our community, in New Jersey, New York, and the entire nation, for their religious beliefs," said Freeholder Director Deborah Smith. “We cannot say it more strongly: Not Here. Not Now. Not Ever."
The event, to be held at the Gottesman RTW Academy at 146 Dover Chester Road in Randolph, is sponsored by the Morris County Board of Freeholders, in coordination with Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon and Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, and clergy from across the county.

In the wake of recent attacks, the freeholders reached out to county law enforcement and religious leaders to explore a possible county response, and are asking members of faith-based communities across the county and the general public to join in standing up against hatred, violence and bigotry.
