A few of the venues are:

  • Glenburn Estate in Riverdale: Riverdale residents and neighbors from surrounding areas gave this grand heritage home a "New Beginning" when they saved it from the wrecker's ball.
  • The Oscar A. Kincaid Home of History in Boonton Township: The first part of this home was built in 1785. It was later rescued by a successful grassroots campaign by the Historical Society of Boonton Township.
  • Pre-Revolutionary Martin Berry House in Pequannock: This house has been considered a legacy for almost 300 years. The house is known for it's 18th century structures, many predating the Revolutionary War.
  • 1758 Randolph Friends Meeting House in Randolph: This home was built in 1758 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. There's a two-family iron miner's dwelling, three schoolhouses, two 19th century railway stations, a general store and several examples of vernacular farmhouses on the property.

Tour-goers can begin their journey at any site, where they'll be met by a guide who will share their extensive knowledge regarding the historic importance of each venue. Learn about the citizens whom roads, schools, and other buildings were named after, enjoy special activities for children, and shop at various museum gift stores.
