The clock is counting down to a big event. Morris Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its’ 11th Annual Hearts and Hammers Gala on February 27, 2016 at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, New Jersey. The Hearts and Hammers Gala is a wonderful evening event and Morris Habitat’s signature fundraiser for the year. Morris Habitat invites the public to join in on an elegant evening–all while supporting their work of building houses and creating homes for families in need throughout Morris County. Feast on hors d’oeuvres and dine on a delicious full-course meal and tempting desserts. Shop at the silent auction, that will feature some very unique gift ideas. There will also be live music and dancing, too. The registration deadline is February 5th. Every year Morris Habitat honors several people and corporations. This year awards will be presented to three members of the Morris Habitat family who have given generously of their time and expertise: Founders Award: Peter Wentworth, Wentworth Associates Corporate Partnership Award: Travelers Insurance Beth Everett Award: Jim Mullen, Esquire Corporate sponsorships have always had a big impact on how much Morris Habitat can accomplish and they are still available for the event. Travelers Insurance, one of the major sponsors of the event, shared their commitment by saying, “As part of its philanthropy and employee involvement, Travelers has a long history of supporting Habitat for Humanity,” said Ricky Jones, Claim Center Vice President at Travelers. “We are proud of the six year relationship that we have built with Morris Habitat for Humanity and are happy to help support their mission of ‘bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope.’” Individual tickets to attend are just $250 per person and donating to the Morris Habitat’s Hearts & Hammers Gala will help to achieve the bold plan to serve 200 new families in the next four years.
