Morris Plains Cleans Up

Morris Plains wants to send out a big thank you to all the groups that helped Morris Plains cut down on litter during 2017.

Morris Plains wants to send out a big thank you to all the groups that helped Morris Plains cut down on litter during 2017. We had great participation from the Boys and Girls Scout Troops, Morris Plains and Morristown High School sports teams, town groups such as the Municipal Alliance and the Teen Center, the French-American Academy at the Lutheran Trinity Church and our newest group, the MOMS club.

The fall clean-ups are about to begin, but in 2916 there were 321 participants in the mini grant program that reported picking up approximately 3,325 lbs. of trash and 1,196 lbs. of recyclables. That’s a big job, but so appreciated by our “Community of Caring”.

Any Morris Plains non-profit group interested in joining the program can call Ellie Falco at 973-538-9103 and leave a message
