Morris School District Candidates: Contested Elections Ahead
Three candidates filed to run for one available Morristown seat on the school board.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris School District will have contested elections this fall. Three candidates filed to run for one available Morristown seat, while three hopefuls will run for the two Morris Township positions.
The Morris School District has representation from Morristown, Morris Township and Morris Plains. People can vote for candidates running to represent their respective towns. (The Morris Plains election for the Morris School District won't take place this year.)

Here are the Morris Township candidates (three-year term, vote for two):
- Linda Murphy
- Dawn Terera Parkot
- Kathleen "Katie" Cole
Yes, there are two Linda Murphy's running — Patch confirmed this with the Morris County Clerk's Office. But they are running in different towns and won't appear on the same ballots.
