Morris School District's Monday Board Of Ed. Meeting Canceled

MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris School District canceled its Board of Education meeting set for Monday night, officials announced Monday morning. The next meeting, which will feature a public budget hearing, is now set for April 25.

A series of delays related to New Jersey's release of school-aid figures resulted in the cancelation, according to district officials.

"Due to the Governor's March 8th Budget Address for state aid figures, the district had to push back the March 14th BOE meeting to March 21st," Renee Suarez, administrative assistant to the superintendent, told Patch via email. "Since the April 4th meeting was scheduled too close after the March meeting, there were not enough business items on the agenda to discuss and hold a meeting."
