Morristown Asks State to Shut Down Troubled Group Home

Unruly teens have caused fear, anxiety in fourth ward neighborhood, report says.

Morristown’s town council took a major step this week on an issue that has concerned residents for quite some time.

According to morristowngreen.com, the governing body voted unanimously to go to the state and ask for a group home – Devereux Foundation – to have its license revoked.

The privately held organization is located on Headley Road, and residents there have complained of harassment and intimidation by “poorly supervised teenaged boys,” the report said.
