Morristown-Beard 7th Graders Volunteer at Neighborhood House
Morristown-Beard School continues partnership with The Neighborhood House
Morristown-Beard School is proud to continue its community service partnership with The Neighborhood House of Morristown again this year. Throughout the school year, a different MBS 7th grade advisory will visit The Neighborhood House each month, and the students will assist the preschool teachers by reading books aloud in class, playing games, and participating in other activities.
On Wednesday, September 21st, students from Middle School history teacher Cathy Kellstrom’s advisory kicked off this year’s partnership by reading large books to the youngsters that included I Love Animals, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, and Crazy Hair Day. The group was also accompanied by Middle School teachers Melissa Hill and Rob Mead.
“We had such a wonderful relationship with The Neighborhood House last year, and we are really looking forward to building on that success in the coming school year,” said Mrs. Kellstrom.
