Morristown Beard appoints new Head of Middle School

Morristown Beard School is pleased to announce that, after conducting a national search, Alonda Casselle has been named Head of Middle School effective July 1, 2022.
“We are extremely excited to have Alonda lead our Middle School. Alonda has distinguished herself as an individual who brings a wealth of experience, a student-centered approach to education, and a deep commitment to the values and vision of our community,” said Head of School Liz Morrison.
For the past year, Mrs. Casselle has served as Director of Middle School Admission at Morristown Beard School. She is an experienced educator who has served as a teacher, assistant head, dean of students, and assistant principal. She holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies and an M.A. in Educational Administration from California State University, and an M.A. in Education from Pepperdine University.

Prior to joining the MBS community, Alonda served in administrative roles at Hollywood Schoolhouse in Los Angeles for five years. In addition, she brings a wealth of experience as a parent association board member, board member, dean of culture, founding educator, admissions committee member, and has attended four People of Color Conferences.
Founded in 1891, Morristown Beard School is an independent, coeducational day school serving 600 students from more than 85 communities in northern New Jersey.
