Morristown To Close Parking Garage Entry For Repairs, See Details
Access to one Morristown parking garage entrance will be closed for concrete repairs and sealing, officials said.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Drivers using the Ann/Bank Garage in Morristown will need to change how they enter and leave the facility starting June 30, when the Morristown Parking Authority temporarily closes the Schuyler Place entrance and exit for maintenance work.
The Morristown Parking Authority announced the closure to accommodate concrete repairs and the application of a protective seal at the parking facility.
According to the advisory, the Schuyler Place exit closes at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, and the Schuyler Place entrance closes at 6 p.m. the same day. Both are expected to reopen on Monday, July 6 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.

During that time, the Ann/Bank Garage will remain open through the Bank Street entrance and exit. On June 30, vehicles may continue entering the garage from Schuyler Place until 6 p.m. Vehicles will not be able to exit via Schuyler Place after 6 a.m. and should instead use the Bank Street exit.
Pedestrian access through Schuyler Place will remain available until 6 p.m. on June 30, according to the advisory. After that time, pedestrians should use the stair tower at Ann Street and Bank Street or the Bank Street stair tower.

The temporary closure also affects nearby retail parking. The two-hour retail parking spaces adjacent to Schuyler Place will be unavailable June 30 through July 5. Temporary retail customer parking will be available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Ann Street Senior Center in designated spaces for Mindy’s Munchies and Kirshenbaum Baking Co. customers.
Additional retail parking is available at Dalton Garage on Cattano Avenue, according to the Morristown Parking Authority. The advisory states that Mindy’s Munchies, The Grand Cafe and Kirshenbaum Baking Co. offer parking validation for customers using the Dalton Garage, and customers should visit the store for more details.
Anyone needing help locating a vehicle may contact the Morristown Parking Authority at 973-828-5330. The number is available 24 hours a day, according to the advisory.
The work is scheduled to continue through July 5, with Schuyler Place access expected to resume the following morning if weather allows. Until then, drivers heading to the Ann/Bank Garage should plan to use Bank Street for both entry and exit.
