Morristown Drunk Driver Arrested After Serious Crash, Police Say
Police said both cars were heavily damaged in the afternoon crash.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Morristown woman was arrested and charged with drunk driving after crashing into another driver in the middle of the afternoon, Madison police confirmed to Patch.
The 53-year-old woman, whose name was not released, crashed into another driver on Shunpike Road in Madison the afternoon of Oct. 13. There was heavy damage to both cars.
The woman was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and assault by auto, police told Patch. She was released with an upcoming court date.

The driver of the other car, a Chatham woman, was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
"I hope this will remind people that we are so lucky to live in a community where the police and fire departments, the EMT, strangers and neighbors are all such amazing people, always ready and so kind to help people who are in need. I was one lucky girl," the victim is quoted as telling TapInto.
