MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morristown Green is having a busy season. Fresh off a successful Jazz and Blues Festival, the Town of Morristown announced that the Green will once again be jam-packed for the 2021 Morristown Festival on the Green.

The festival, which has hosted up to 60,000 people since it began in 1994, will return to the Green on Sunday, Oct. 3, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m, rain or shine, for the first time since 2019. The event will showcase more than 150 local businesses, restaurants, and community groups, in addition to live music, a beer tent, and numerous family-friendly games and activities.

The festival got a big boost last week when the Morris County Board of Commissioners pledged $100,000 from the American Rescue Plan State and Local Recovery Fund. The Morristown Partnership said that this grant has allowed it to keep exhibitor fees consistent with 2019 pricing, which would not have been possible otherwise due to “substantial increases” in exhibitor space, labor, and tenting. Organizers told the Daily Record that tent rental and labor costs have doubled in two years.
