While many towns across the U.S. are seeking ways to showcase local artist’s work and bring them together in a greater community, Morristown’s 70 South Gallery, seems poised to achieve this goal. Based in the heart of Morristown’s vibrant downtown area, 70 South Gallery is creating a new and exciting space that will aid in promoting Morristown as a center for Art.
70 South Gallery will host exhibitions on a rotating basis where professional and emerging photographers can showcase their work in a space that was designed from the ground up to bring the New York gallery experience to Morristown. All artwork will be available for sale. 70 South Gallery will also continue its tradition of being a trusted source for high-quality printing for over 80 years which was part of the Sandrian Camera business.
“I am excited to carry on the tradition of my grandfather’s work of the printing business that is being transformed into 70 South Gallery”, says Myles Sandrian, Operations Manager of 70 South Gallery.

Black, 70 South Gallery Artist Acquisition and Relationship Manager. Black adds, “Providing a modern space for local photographers to display and sell their work is greatly needed.”

Black continues, “having been involved in other projects bringing artists and the community together, I knew this was an opportunity to bring awareness to Morristown as a place for exciting artwork and showcase for the next generation innovative photographers.”
Gina Cerbone, 70 South Gallery Gallery Manager also adds that “We envision this to be the destination where people come to view engaging artwork, socialize with other like-minded individuals and purchase works that they can hang on their walls at home or in their office.” She adds, “exhibitions will be rotated to allow for visitors to view new work on a regular basis.”
Black explains that the business model is a simple one, “We want to support local artists and give them a beautiful space to show their work. We want photographers at all skill levels to be inspired about the possibilities with photography, tap into their own creative expressions and be motivated to print the important moments that they are capturing.”
70 South Gallery is taking applications for photographers to exhibit their work for upcoming shows.
