Almost, Maine – “A Real Romantic Comedy” Takes the Stage at Morristown HS

“It’s love...but not quite.” The award winning Morristown High School Theatre Department is gearing up for the adorable fall comedy, Almost, Maine. Students have been rehearsing since September under the direction of Michael Maguire, Katie Adams, Katie Brady, and Ralph Losanno.
Through a series of one acts, the show tells the story of nine couples on a wintry night in the “almost” town of Almost, Maine. Each of the vignettes features two or three characters who are only seen once throughout the show. However, this delightful romantic comedy is tied together through themes such as love, loss, tenderness, and heart which are apparent in each of the nine short scenes. In addition, the show will also incorporate actors performing in student-created vignettes before the show, during intermission, and after the show in order to create an interactive environment for audience members.
“This season of Morristown High School Theatre has a whole lot of heart,” says Maguire. “We are so excited about how Almost, Maine is coming together. You will laugh, you will cry. It is an amazing show. Although many people have not heard of it, it is a modern classic and you will start to see it everywhere… it is so well-written and poignant.”
Morristown High School’s Almost, Maine will take the stage for four performances only. November 16, 17, 18 at 7pm and November 19 at 2pm.
