Morristown Launches 'First Responder Friday'

The goal is to get supplies for those on the front line of the coronavirus pandemic.

MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown Police have issued a challenge to try to drum up supplies for those on the front lines of the new coronavirus, or COVID-19, pandemic.

"You've all heard of Taco Tuesday? Well what about First Responder Friday," officials posted to social media. "As much as we love a good taco, right now, we're thinking that First Responder Friday sounds much better."

The goal is for anyone who has cleaning products, masks, gloves, or other protective items to consider donating what they can spare so that to keep Firefighters and Police Officers safe during the next few weeks.

"As we always say, help us help you," officials said.

Anyone wanting to make donations on First Responder Friday should call the on-duty shift supervisor at 973-292-6644 to make arrangements.
