Morristown Medical Center Named NJ's Top Hospital: U.S. News

MORRISTOWN, NJ — New Jersey has several top hospitals, according to U.S. News and World Report. But Morristown Medical Center topped the state's rankings for the fourth consecutive year in its 2021-2022 Best Hospital rankings.

According to the publication, the medical center is one of the top acute care hospitals in New Jersey to be nationally ranked, and among the 50 best hospitals in the nation for Gynecology (No. 28), Orthopedics (No. 30), and Cardiology & Heart Surgery (No. 42).

Morristown Medical Center was also recognized as high-performing in 16 common adult procedures and conditions: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Aortic Valve Surgery, Back Surgery, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Colon Cancer Surgery, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Hip Replacement, Kidney Failure, Knee Replacement, Lung Cancer Surgery, Pneumonia, Stroke and TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement). It was also recognized as a high-performing hospital in four specialties: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and Urology.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or common elective procedures.
