Morristown Preservationist to be Honored With Annual 'Friend of History' Award

Ken Miller has done a lot for preserving the historic aspects of Morristown.
Because of that, he’s being honored with one of the county’s most prestigious awards this month, and will officially be dubbed a “Friend of History.”
Miller, chairman of the Morristown Historic Preservation Commission, will be presented the Friends of History Award on Sept. 17 at a fundraising event to be held at the Morris County Cultural Center.

Miller has helped preserve and restore Villa Fontana, the National Historic Landmark home of Thomas Nast.
The fundraising event will benefit the Estey House at Historic Speedwell, a facility of the Morris County Park Commission. The event will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and costs $75 per person.
