Morristown Salvation Army Raises $66K In Golf Tournament

A record number of golfers signed up to participate in the annual event.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — In a time when many fundraisers are struggling, the Salvation Army Morristown Corps' annual golf outing saw record participation. The event raised more than $60,000 for the Corps’ Early Childcare Center.

More than 80 golfers signed up for the tournament. The Corps’ Early Childcare Center provides a high-quality educational program to preschoolers throughout Morris County.

“We are thrilled to have sold out of tickets this year for our golf outing fundraiser," said Morristown Corps Officer Major Hollie Leonardi. "It is especially exciting considering The Salvation Army is celebrating our 130th year of service to the Morristown community. We have raised a benchmark amount of $66,285, and the proceeds will directly benefit our continued work on behalf of the underserved."
