Morristown Starts Gift Card Drive For Caregivers
Healthcare providers on the front lines of the coronavirus fight will benefit.
MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown community is being asked to help ease the burden of health care providers are on the front lines of the current global novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, crisis.

"We are fortunate to have local heroes working tirelessly to care for our friends and neighbors in the Morristown community," Mayor Tim Dougherty said in a statement. "We are pleased to announce that a plan has been developed to rally together and support these extraordinary caregivers."

With this goal in mind, the Mayorās office has created the Serve it Forward program to help provide sustenance to front line health care professionals at Atlantic Health System.
"Using Serve it Forward, you can purchase gift cards from our local restaurants for donation," Dougherty said. "In turn, Atlantic Health Systemās Morristown Medical Center will distribute the cards to hospital workers such as doctors, nurses, and other team members."

As a simultaneous benefit, Serve it Forward will help support local food establishments and their
employees by infusing revenue into the community.
Depending on the restaurant, participants can purchase gift cards for Serve it Forward online or by phone.
