Morristown Street Closures Ahead Of Verizon 5K Road Race
Tomorrow's Verizon 5K Road Race is set for 6 p.m. Traffic delays are expected in the Mills Street area until 9 p.m., police said.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Verizon Corporate 5K Challenge road race will return to Morristown on Thursday, July 14, causing various road closures throughout the afternoon, according to police.
The race will begin and end at Morristown High School on Early Street, with road closures beginning as early as 4:30 p.m. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.
Morristown Police Department officers will be stationed along the route to assist with road closures and detours, but motorists are advised to avoid the area or plan alternate routes because traffic congestion is possible.

- Colonial Road
- Washington Street
- Conklin Road
- Gallagher Road
- Hazlett Street
- Milton Place
- Mills Street
- Sussex Ave

- Willard Place
- Marian Place
- Frederick Street
According to police, traffic congestion in the affected areas is expected to last until 9 p.m.
