Morristown's 'Jockey Hollow' Named Among Nation's Best Wine Restaurants
One year after opening, restaurateur Chris Cannon's latest effort hits the mark nationally.

When famed restaurateur Chris Cannon decided to renovate Morristown’s Vail Mansion into an eclectic restaurant, anyone familiar with the entrepreneur’s past dealings knew it would be a success.
Just a year later, Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen is already rubbing elbows – and popping corks – with the nation’s best wine restaurants.
In its annual Top 100 Best Wine Restaurants listings, Wine Enthusiast named Cannon’s latest multi-million dollar effort among the best in the country and gave a nod to executive chef Kevin Sippel for his “tasting menus and the dynamic wine pairings.”

The magazine named Monkfish porchetta with pancetta, bean salad and cucumber crema, with Heinrich 2008 St. Laurent from Austria as its favorite pairing.
The only other New Jersey restaurant to make the list was Restaurant Latour in Hamburg.
