Gourmet Sandwich Shop Opens Doors In Morristown

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown sandwich snobs have a new joint to try out, and this one was created by the minds of some hungry college students.

Mr. Subs Sandwich Shop opened its latest location at 66 South Street on Oct. 18. It's the chain's ninth New Jersey location, with other spots in Cranbury, North Brunswick, Rahway, South Plainfield, Englishtown, Brunswick, Bound Brook, and Jersey City.

The sub shop, originally founded in a Rutgers University dorm room, offers a plethora of cold and hot sandwiches and wraps.

"We love our customers just as much as we love serving the best subs around," a statement reads. "We use the most flavorful meats, freshest produce (which we try to purchase from local farmers when in season), and our unbelievably soft bread comes fresh every day from our very own bakery. We strive to serve a delicious sandwich at a fair price, in a clean environment with a smile every day!"

The store offers cold classics including Italian, ham and cheese, turkey, and tuna subs.

It also offers specialty hot delights including the Cowboy Wrap, stuffed with chicken cutlet, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and honey mustard, or the Indian Chicken Cheesesteak, made with peppers, onions, green chili, cilantro, homemade spice blend, Cooper Sharp American, and ketchup on a seeded roll.

Diners can also enjoy chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, hand-cut French fries, cookies, and more from Mr. Subs.
