New Brewery Sets To Open In Greater Morristown This Year

Autodidact Beer secured a location and plans to open a brewery on Route 10 in Morris Plains.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Raise your glasses ... soon. A proposed brewery secured a location in Morris Plains, and ownership hopes to open Autodidact Beer sometime this year on Route 10.

Founders Ronnie Scouten and Ron Cassel will continue the process of setting up Autodidact Beer. That means building the space, acquiring licenses and then finally getting the brewing started, Cassell said on the business's website.

"Our goal is to try to be open within 2022, but there are a lot of things we need to do to get there, and many of them are beyond our control," Cassel said. "So while we can't guarantee anything, rest assured we're doing everything we can to get some fresh beer in your hands as soon as possible."
