New Detective Sworn In By Morris County Prosecutor

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ —A new detective was recently sworn in at the Morris County Prosecutor's Office and assigned to the General Investigations Unit within the Courts and Administration Division.

Detective Sean Verbist previously served the Montclair Police Department, the Randolph Police Department and Montclair Township. He has also worked as a Paramus Park Ranger, Rockaway Township Public Schools Substitute Security Person/Custodian, Paramus Camp Counselor and Paramus Volunteer Police Reserve Officer.

“The addition of Detective Verbist to our ranks is the continuation of our plan to staff the office with personnel who bring a wide array of talent and experience, and we welcome him to our team," Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll said.

Verbist attended Ramapo College of New Jersey, Bergen Community College (BCC), and Montclair State University (MSU), where he earned an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from BCC and a Bachelor's Degree in Justice Studies from MSU. He is also a graduate of the Morris County Police Academy.
