Medical Center (WAMMC) in Morristown, New Jersey.
Our new logo, created by the talented team from St. Jacques Marketing, is a bold,
energizing and contemporary image of WAMMC today at almost 125 years old. "We were
proud to be asked to support and reimagine the brand for an amazing organization right here in
our own backyard. To put our mark on an all volunteer organization that is 100% responsible for
the founding of t he hospital is a true honor," stated Philip St. Jacques, President of their agency.
Founded in March 1893 by Myra Brookfield, she was the leading force in developing a
medical center for the community, officially being named, the Women's Association of
Morristown Medical (WAMMC).
Today, WAMMC continues as one of the largest contributors to the Foundation for
Morristown Medical Center, raising more than $25 million since 1985, which has enabled the
medical center to expand services to the community at large. Supporting the growth of the
needs of the Carol Simon Cancer Center, the Goryeb Children's Hospital, Gagnon Cardiac
Center, Emergency Rooms, Chamber of Wellness, Behavioral Health and more, have all
benefited from the fundraising efforts of the commitment and passion of the WAMMC
organization.

WAMMC also operates several free-standing revenue-producing entities, including the
hospital's gift shops, the Bargain Box Thrift Boutique and a percentage of the proceeds from
Starbucks and Apple A Day outlets located within the medical center.
Additionally, WAMMC supports a nursing scholarship program, Chapel Flowers,
Babies Alumni, Pet Therapy and other entities that require additional funding for the needs of
hospital community.
There have been hundreds of members and volunteers over the years, who have
contributed their time, talents and services in support of the hospital through our fundraising
efforts, notably our signature Mansion in May, held every two years. Other fundraising events
have been Market in May, Honey Brunch, Garden State of Mind Farm to Table Celebrity Chef
Dinner and Secret Garden Tour and many other events, large and small, all to benefit the
Morristown Medical Center and community.
WAMMC is a professional group of mostly women, comprised of a Board with
45 members, an Executive Committee of 9 members and 23 Committees. Additionally,
a group know as the Twigs, a branch of WAMMC that serves 8 various communities
throughout several of the Northern New Jersey counties of Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon and
Warren.
Currently, WAMMC has over 700 members and during Mansion in May years,
membership and volunteers number over 1500 people dedicated to the goals of raising funds
for the medical facility and the community.

“The WAMMC organization and its fundraising efforts have grown significantly
since it was founded in 1893 and we felt it was important that our identity reflect this growth,”
said Mary Courtemanche, President, Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center.
“This new image represents WAMMC as the strong, professional organization that it has be
come, totally reliant on the commitment and dedication of the hundreds of volunteers who
contribute their time, talents and services in support of Morristown Medical Center.”
And, the excitement is building, as very shortly, we will be announcing another
prestigious property that will be the site of the 18th Women's Association for Morristown Medical
Center Mansion in May 2017. It is truly one of the most gorgeous estates in our area that will be
transformed into a spectacular designer showhouse for touring by thousands of visitors to
raise funds for Morristown Medical Center.
