NJ's 'Cake Boss' Thanks Morris Co. Sheriff For Coronavirus Effort

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Buddy Valastro whose family-owned business, Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken was the subject of the reality show "Cake Boss," sent an appreciative video to Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon.

The famous baker with many Morris County ties, including a Morristown bakery that opened in 2014 and closed five years later, applauded the work the Sheriff's Office and its partners are doing to keep the community and front-line responders safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Valastro specifically cited the running the Morris County COVID-19 Drive-Thru test site on the County College of Morris campus in Randolph.

The test site partners include Atlantic Health System, Morris County Office of Emergency Management, Morris County Office of Health Management, Morris County Park Police, Randolph Police, Morris County Medical Reserve Corps, and the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy Fire Division.

For his part, Gannon said he still remembers the delicious cake Carlo's Bakery made for his daughter's wedding.
