Pa. Duo Admits To Cocaine Charges In Morris County

The duo, a drug dealer and her buyer, were arrested in 2024 on narcotics charges.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Two Pennsylvanians have admitted their involvement in a cocaine-dealing investigation in Morris County, prosecutors said.

Shirl Moody, 61, and Brian Schwab, 47, both of Hazleton, Pa., have pleaded guilty in connection with a 2024 narcotics case out of Netcong Borough, officials said.

In August 2024, police pulled over the pair’s Chevrolet sedan, driving on Route 183 North in Netcong, after a plate run found their registration to be expired.

Both were arrested and issued several drug-related charges.

In August 2025, Schwab pleaded guilty to conspiracy and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS). The plea deal resulted in Schwab needing to serve five years for the conspiracy charge, concurrent to three years for the possession charge. Additionally, he was required to testify against Moody in court.

On Wednesday, Moody pleaded guilty to possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 8, and prosecutors are recommending eight years in prison.
