Elderly Woman Struck In Morristown In 'Serious' Condition: Police
The elderly woman was unresponsive at the scene but is in stable condition at Morristown Medical Center, police said.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — An elderly woman who was struck by a vehicle Saturday night in Morristown remains in "serious but stable" condition as of Monday morning, according to police.
The incident took place at about 10 p.m. Saturday around the Morristown Club on Elm Street, authorities said. Police say they found a 70-year-old Lincoln Park woman in the roadway who had been struck by a vehicle. She was unresponsive at the scene and taken to Morristown Medical Center.
Authorities did not publicly identify anyone involved.

The driver — a 78-year-old Morristown man — remained at the scene and has cooperated with police during the investigation. The woman remained at Morristown Medical Center as of 11 a.m. Monday.
The matter remains under investigation. Police will release additional details when it's concluded. Police asked anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to call Officer John Sweetman at 973-538-2200.
