To obtain a real estate license in New Jersey, one begins with attending a Certified Real Estate School. They must complete 75 hours of classes and from there, pass the school exam and then the state exam. Once the state exam has been passed, the new licensee is required to get fingerprinted and be sponsored by a real estate company to begin their career in real estate.

Rand Real Estate Academy offers Pre-licensing courses to meet anyone's schedule in one of their three convenient sites: Morristown Plaza, 163 Madison Ave., Morristown; 222 Bridge Plaza South, Fort Lee, NJ; and their school headquarters at 200 Grand Avenue, Hawthorne. Their classes range from full weekdays to nights and Saturdays for those that have full-time jobs.
