Performing Arts Center Makes Plea for Downtown Parking Deck

Morristown business a major part of downtown's revitalization in recent years.

There may be no bigger infrastructure issue in Morristown than parking, and the folks at Mayo Performing Arts Center want to change that.

According to morristowngreen.com, MAYO Pac, the downtown staple that has helped commerce thrive, is making a push for a current parking lot in town to go vertical and add a parking deck.

In a letter to the Morristown Council, Mayo PAC’s CEO Allison Larena outlined the organization’s thoughts on converting municipal parking lot 10 into a parking deck, the report said. Parking Lot 10 is located about a block from the theatre behind the post office.
