Photos, Video: Roots Steakhouse Makes it Official, Opens at 40 Park
Restaurant had been serving dinner since "soft launch" but now is on its full schedule
It already had a "" late last month, but Roots Steakhouse is making it official: it's open for business.
Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty and other local dignitaries gathered Tuesday to mark the opening of the restaurant, part of the 40 Park development. Roots is a 6,000 square-foot New York-style steakhouse, with mahogany wood panels, stone walls, and seating for 140.
The restaurant is the latest addition to the Shops on the Green, the 70,000 square foot retail space that in part forms the foundation of the 40 Park luxury condominium building and the Metropolitan at 40 Park luxury rental building. It is the second location for Roots Steak House, which operates its original location in Summit.
