Polls Open Late At One Morristown Location

Here's what to do if you missed your chance to vote because of the delay.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Morristown polling location opened an hour late this morning, officials said. Thomas Jefferson School opened at 7 a.m. instead of the scheduled 6 a.m., after poll workers were locked out of the school.

The reason? The janitor with the key called out sick, Morris County Board of Elections administrator Dale Kramer told MorristownGreen. Polls will remain open until 8 p.m. tonight.

For residents who were turned away from voting this morning, the Town of Morristown is asking you contact the Mayor and Administration Office at 973-292-6629 to discuss the issue. Contact information, including an address and email address, will be collected and provided to the Morristown Clerk and Morris County Clerk's Office, Elections Department.
