'Pop-Up' Party At Morris Co. Boys & Girls Club Destroys Property: PD
The Pequannock Police Department issued "curbside warnings" to all parties involved and dispersed the crowd, officials said.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The Pequannock Police Department is looking into a 'pop-up' party that occurred last week at the Boys & Girls Club of Pequannock and caused minor damage to some property.
Approximately 100 teenagers, according to the organization, held an illegal pop-up party on private property.
According to a Facebook post by the club, the teens arrived at the property after hours, with some climbing on top of the club's buses, ripping open the emergency hatches, and entering the locked buses.

"Thankfully we have video footage of some of the teens being dropped off at the Club, of license plate numbers and of the kids on the busses. Police will be reviewing the footage charges will be filed against those that went on top of and into the busses and against those that are trespassing," the club wrote on social media.
Officers issued curbside warnings to all parties involved and dispersed the crowd after arriving on the scene at approximately 11 p.m. on Thursday night, according to the Pequannock Police Department.

"Patrol units responded and assessed the incident and officers on scene determined there to be approximately 60 juveniles aging in range from approximately 15 to 17 years old. During the course of their initial investigation, no evidence of any crimes, specifically bodily injury to anybody present, was observed by officers," Capt. Robert Brown said.
The next day, police received a separate complaint from a representative of the Pequannock Boys and Girls Club, who called to report minor property damage caused by the juveniles the night before.
"This incident will remain under investigation regarding the criminal mischief allegations," Brown said.
The Pequannock Boys & Girls Club, located on Oak Avenue, also issued a public service announcement to parents, reminding them that the club is private property and that their children should not be dropped off after hours.
"We are a community service organization doing our best to meet the needs of the parents and the children of our great community by providing before and after care programs, summer camp, sports and more. When our property is damaged it creates added expenses to the Club for repairs and replacements, which in turn may cause us to have to raise our program fees," the club wrote on Facebook.
