Preschool Advantage Announces New Board Member
Morristown resident Carolyn S. Simpson joins Preschool Advantage Board of Directors

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY – February 15, 2018. Preschool Advantage is pleased to announce the appointment of Morristown resident Carolyn S. Simpson to its Board of Directors. Preschool Advantage is a local non-profit that partners with 24 preschools in Morris and Somerset counties to provide a quality preschool education for families who otherwise could not afford it.
Simpson has been actively involved in education for over 30 years, beginning her career as an elementary school teacher in Virginia and continuing as a substitute teacher and tutor after moving to the Morristown, NJ, area in 1992. It is her love of education and learning that brought Simpson to Preschool Advantage, where she has served on the Child and School committees since 2014. In Simpson’s words, “As a former teacher, I’m naturally drawn to educational opportunities. Preschool Advantage’s mission, success stories and growing waiting list of families needing help all combine to make this a natural fit. I’m thrilled to be part of an organization that’s a win-win for local families and schools.”
In addition to her volunteer work at Preschool Advantage, Simpson has served as a member of Twig of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center and the Morristown Garden Club. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey. In her spare time Simpson enjoys gardening, photography, travel, and of course, educational causes.
