Protect Your Pets: Morristown Offers Free Rabies Clinic

All Morristown dog and cat owners are invited to the free rabies clinic scheduled for Sept. 17.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown has scheduled a free rabies vaccination clinic for Sept. 17, officials announced.

The free clinic will be held in the lobby at Morristown Town Hall, 200 South Street, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will take cats and dogs for immunization.

To enter the clinic, all dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in a cat carrier. The clinic will offer both one-year and three-year vaccinations for all cats and dogs over the age of four months, officials said.

Microchipping, as well as pet licensing for Morristown residents, will also be available at the clinic if desired.

Microchipping is an additional $25 fee, and money orders or checks will be the two accepted forms of payment, according to officials.

In recent months, animals in the Garden State have tested positive for rabies, emphasizing the importance of keeping your pets' immunizations up to date.
