Public Safety Academy Inviting Morris County High School Students

Attendees will learn about public service and safety during sponsored one-week course.

Anyone who enters a career in law enforcement or local public office has to start somewhere, and the Morris County Board of Freeholders is providing that stepping stone to all high school students this August.

The annual Public Safety Training Academy is scheduled for Aug. 11 through Aug. 15, free to all students entering grades nine through 12.

The student “cadets” will be introduced to careers in public safety, public service – including county government, emergency services, law enforcement and emergency management, the county said.
