Safe With $30-40K Stolen In Morris Plains, Police Seek Help
The safe was stolen early Tuesday morning from Morris Plains Liberty Gas & Convenience, according to the Morris County Sheriff's Office.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A safe with tens of thousands of dollars was stolen early Tuesday morning from Morris Plains Liberty Gas & Convenience, according to the Morris County Sheriff's Office. Law enforcement is looking to identify the suspect.
The vehicle pictured above was seen at the business, according to the sheriff's office. When police arrived at about 5 a.m., a safe containing $30,000-40,000 was taken, police said.
The safe was also known to contain blank business checks, according to authorities. A second safe inside the store was moved to the rear exit but not taken, police said.

Video surveillance captured the vehicle at the store at 3:30 a.m. before the driver left with the suspected proceeds, authorities said. The sheriff's office believes they traveled east on Route 10 before turning right onto South Jefferson Road in Hanover.
