Sporting Ways to Begin the Week

Root, root, root for the home team.

Happy Monday, Morristown!

Hope Mothers Day was a wonderful Sunday for all of our grand moms out there. But, now we must get on with the work week again. Why not start that week off by cheering on the home teams?

  1. You Need to Know About MHS Lacrosse v. Millburn: The Lady Colonials face-off against Millburn High School at home, at 4 p.m.
  2. You Need to Know About MHS Boys Tennis v. Delbarton: Crosstown rivals square off at Morristown High School, at 4 p.m.
  3. You Need to Know About MHS Boys Baseball v. Delbarton: Another crosstown battle, this one on the diamond. It's at Morristown High School, at 4:30 p.m., originally scheduled for 4 p.m. Also note: There will be a moment of silence before the game, to honor local baseball legend Harry Shatel, whose memorial service is at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, at Delbarton High School.
  4. You Need to Know About MHS Girls Softball v. Union High School: The ladies of the diamond are also in a heated battle today, against Union High School, at 4 p.m. at Morristown High School.
  5. You Need to Know About Villa Walsh v. Butler High School: Technically not in Morristown, but we have plenty of hometown kids attending the Morris Township school. So, head over to 455 Western Ave. to root them on, at 4 p.m.
