Since its launch last October, the Spark!Lab has not only inspired many young inventors but has also become one of the most popular places for families at the Morris Museum. And within only a few months, the Spark!Lab is already an awarding winning space. We recently received a Community Leadership award from The Morris County Hispanic American Chamber for our commitment to education and innovation.

After a short winter break, the Spark!Lab will reopen on Wednesday, January 19 with new activities and stations. And right next door to the lab, artist Dan Fenelon used his tremendous talents to create a large-scale mural. He even incorporated 6 Sparky characters, the mascot of our Spark!Lab, into this exciting mural.

By popular demand, we also opened a newly created exploration space for our youngest inventors ages 1-4. This specially designed space has a train and an exploration table filled with unique tools to help spark creativity, thinking and learning.
We are also expanding our team to include a full-time Arts Coordinator. This position will help grow the Museum’s educational programming to allow us to bring many new exciting opportunities for families. We look forward to a bright new year where we can welcome many new visitors of all ages.
