Rally Scheduled In Morristown After SCOTUS Abortion Decision
Activists are planning to hold an abortion rights rally in Morris County following the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. The protest will take place on June 24 at 6 p.m., according to organizers. It will be held at the Morristown Town Hall, 200 South St. The rally is being hosted by Morris County Democrats, Morristown elected officials, and supporters.

Former Morris Co. Pharma Executive Charged In Insider Trading Scheme
The former head of corporate communications of a $21 billion biopharmaceutical company based in Morris Plains was indicted yesterday for her role in an insider trading scheme, federal authorities said. Lauren S. Wood, 33, of Washington, D.C., was indicted on June 22 and charged with securities fraud, officials said.

The Rotary Club of Morristown has provided funding to Family Promise of Morris County (FPMC) to benefit Our Promise Drop-In Resource Center. Our Promise, located in the First Baptist Church in Downtown Morristown, is a beloved and vital community resource that serves those who are homeless and low-income residents. Morris County is among the 25 healthiest communities in America, according to a new ranking by U.S. News & World Report. The fifth annual report which was released Wednesday in collaboration with CVS Health highlights the health and wellness in 3,000 communities across the United States. Morris County was ranked 16th in the country and first in New Jersey in the new report.
Local Law Enforcement Veteran Awarded By Morris County
A longtime law enforcement veteran was honored for his achievements during his 20-year career with the office during a ceremony early this week by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll and other local officials. Agent Gary Gouck has been a leader and expert in the field of vehicular homicide investigation during his 47 years in law enforcement, the last 20 of which have been with the MCPO.
More than $577,000 in scholarships have been awarded to 29 outstanding Morristown High School seniors to support their academic pursuits, announced the Morris Educational Foundation (MEF). The MEF, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing educational excellence in the Morris School District, honored the students on June 14 during the high school's in-person scholarship award night.
