Sustainable Morristown, Covanta, Morristown Environmental Commission Team-up for Festival on the Green

Sustainable Morristown, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting and promoting sustainability within the Morristown community, today announced a partnership with Covanta, a world leader in sustainable waste and energy solutions headquartered in Morristown, and the Morristown Environmental Commission for this year’s Festival on the Green. Festival on the Green is being held this Sunday, September 25th from noon to 5:00 pm. located on the Morristown Green.

“As a member of the greater Morristown community, we are proud to support the good work of Sustainable Morristown and the Morristown Environmental Commission and their programs that advocate sustainability,” stated Covanta Director of Environmental Science and Community Affairs Kenneth E. Armellino, P.E.

Stationed along the Green, Sustainable Morristown, Covanta and the Morristown Environmental Commission will have a tent with activities, giveaways, rain barrels and compost education ections to promote sustainability. The Town of Morristown and the Morristown Partnership host this popular, annual festival that includes over 150 exhibitors providing food, entertainment and activities.
