Top 5 Coffee Shops In The Morristown Area

As summer ends and pumpkin spice season ramps up, here are some Yelpers favorite local coffee shops.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — After a long summer of iced coffee and lemonades, fall is fast approaching and with it, pumpkin spice everything. Love pumpkin spice lattes? Just looking for a really great cup of coffee? Here are some local coffee shops Morristown Yelpers love.

The Artist Baker: "The cutest little bakery and café that is tucked away on a busy but still a side street off of the green. The bike hanging as decoration out front is what caught my eye at first and I'm glad that it drew me in. I had a freshly brewed iced tea with my baked cheddar & kale scone one late afternoon."

Matilda’s Cafe: "This is a new cafe at the Freylingheysen Arboretum. It's nice for this type of cafe. Usually there are just some plastic chairs and a cafeteria feel at places like this. Matilda's Cafe is in a little house and it has a well lit mini greenroom type area to the right that looks out on the garden. There is another seating area to the left with dark wooden furniture."

Smartworld Coffee: "I come here when I'm talking a walk in Morristown in the morning or late afternoon. They have a lot of different varieties. i recently tried the cold brew and it was so smooth, definitely worth the trip. There's a nice seating atmosphere and it doesn't get too loud in there, like Starbucks. It's a very cute cafe that is worth the time looking for parking."

Maria’s: "Maria's is the type of coffee shop that reminds me of my mom's home baked goods. It has a charming, warm, friendly atmosphere. I'm visiting Chester for the weekend but if I lived locally, I would be a regular customer."

Verrilli’s Bakery: "Seriously best breakfast sandwiches not only in town but in the surrounding area (and this is coming from a foodie). I always get a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich either on a roll or bagel (both are great as they are made in-house). Their ice coffee (pleasantly surprised when I first had it) is also really good!"
