Trump Flying Out Of Morristown Sunday, Expect Traffic

Roads surrounding the airport have typically seen closures and traffic jams when the president flies in or out.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Drivers should expect heavy traffic and road closures around Morristown Airport on Sunday night, when President Donald Trump flies out of the airport.

Trump is spending the long weekend at his golf club in nearby Bedminster, and flies in and out of Morristown when he visits. According to FAA flight restrictions, the airspace around the Morristown Airport will be restricted from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Sunday for "VIP movement." Drivers should expect traffic delays around this time.

Although officials will not say in advance what roads will be closed, residents typically see road closures and heavy delays on Route 24, Route 1o, and Route 287 in the area of the airport.

Trump arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport late Thursday night before arriving at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster at 11:40 p.m.
