The National Weather Service in Mount Holly issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Morris County from 11 p.m. to 3:00 a.m this morning.
Last night, up to 1.5 inches of rainfall had been reported by 11 p.m. The area experienced heavy rains due to thunderstorms moving throughout the area, which caused urban and small stream flooding.
According to The National Weather Service, this weekend will be drier, but still very hot. There's an excessive heat warning and heat advisory in effect for Morris County. Residents should expect hot and humid conditions throughout the weekend.
