Vegan Food Festival Returns To Atlantic City: See The Vendors
VegFest, which takes place this weekend, will feature more than 100 plant-based vendors, many with gluten-free options.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — No matter your diet, it's been a while since people could come together and eat. New Jersey VegFest will stick a fork in that pandemic pause, bringing New Jersey's largest homegrown vegan food festival this weekend to Atlantic City.
The event will feature more than 100 vendors offering vegan food, plant-based clothing and products and more from chefs and local businesses throughout the region. Click here to purchase tickets.
“New Jersey VegFest is thrilled to be back in Atlantic City in 2021,” said Marisa Sweeney, co-founder of New Jersey VegFest. “We care deeply about the health and safety of our guests and vendors, and postponing our 2020 event was the right thing to do for everyone. We’re incredibly excited to be back on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, and we can’t wait to see everyone again.”

New Jersey will serve as a hotbed for vendors and chefs from throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and beyond.
Since large, in-person events were canceled last summer, VegFest's founders created The Vegan Local. The endeavor helps vegan food shoppers find VegFest's most popular vendors, including Freakin’ Vegan, Root 9 and BlackBird Foods, along with plant-based food and lifestyle products in their own neighborhoods.

Interest in veganism is on the rise, according to several reports. The number of U.S. consumers identifying as vegan grew from 1 percent to 6 percent from 2014-17, according to Forbes. And online searches for vegan recipes soared during the coronavirus lockdown, according to Chef's Pencil's analysis.
But VegFest isn't just designed for vegans either. All are welcome — including children — who are looking to try vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free specialties.
“As always, everybody is welcome at the Atlantic City Vegan Food Festival – whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, veg-curious or a foodie of any kind,” said VegFest co-founder Kendra Arnold. “We have missed our customers and our vendors, and we’re so happy to be reunited with our friends in the plant-based community after spending more than a year apart.”
