Vehicle Stolen, 1 Burglarized At Greater Morristown County Clubs

The vehicle theft occurred at the Morris County Country Club, according to Morris Township police.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — One vehicle was stolen and another one burglarized at country clubs Thursday in Greater Morristown.

The vehicle was stolen from the Morris County Country Club, while another vehicle was entered at the Springbrook Country Club. Both thefts occurred late afternoon, according to Morris Township police.

"Please lock your doors, remove keys and valuables!" said Chief Mark DiCarlo.

The Morristown Department of Public Safety issued a reminder in May for people to lock their cars and homes.

"Most of the thefts that are reported to the Morristown Police are from unlocked cars, open garages, or unsecured houses so don’t make yourself a target," the agency said. "Get into the routine of checking everything before you head to bed for the night and pass this simple tip on to your neighbors."
