40 'At-Risk Students' To Attend Saint Elizabeth University For Free
Dozens of at-risk students throughout New Jersey will be able to attend college for free thanks to a grant from the city and Saint Elizabeth University. The Guaranteed Education Pilot Program, which was first announced on March 31, 2022, is funded in part through the "Guaranteed Education" program that partners the Newark's Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery and the Brick City Peace Collective, in partnership with the university.

2 Morristown High School Students Received A Prestigious Scholarship
Two students from Morristown High School have been named National Merit Scholarship winners. Shivani Vel and Milind Bangalore were chosen as 2022 National Scholarship Program finalists from among 15,000 applicants.
Students In Morristown Can Join Planet Fitness For Free
Planet Fitness is inviting all Morristown high school students between the ages of 14 and 19 to work out for free from May 16 to August 31 as part of the High School Summer Pass initiative. High School Summer Pass, formerly known as Teen Summer Challenge, was first introduced in 2019. Starting today, high schoolers can pre-register at PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass and receive a reminder to formally sign up when the program officially begins on May 16.
National Police Week Celebration In Morris County
The Morris County Sheriff's Office will observe National Police Week from May 11 to May 17. To begin the week, an estimated 1,500 police unity tour riders set out yesterday from Parsippany Township on the annual 300-mile ride to Washington, D.C.
Morristown Native Wins FOX News Media Scholarship
FOX News, in partnership with the National Merit Scholarship Program, selected a Morristown native as one of the recipients of its third annual Dr. Charles Krauthammer Memorial Scholarship. Oratory Preparatory School student Emmett Gaffney, the son of FOX's Vice President of Documentary Programming, was among the winners. Gaffney will be featured on the network's evening newscast, Special Report with anchor Bret Baier.
