Visions and Pathways Honors Community Leaders at 3rd Annual Spark! Gala

Create a Hopeful Future for our Youth
Bridgewater, N.J. (May 15, 2017) – Visions and Pathways (visionsandpathways.org) is announcing their 3rd Annual Spark! Gala: A Hopeful Future for our Youth. This event will take place at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park on June 8, 2017 at 6pm. Last year’s event raised over $60,000 to assist abused, neglected, homeless, and runaway youth throughout New Jersey. Since 1970 the nonprofit organization has helped over 8,000 youth by providing; temporary housing, street outreach and prevention services to combat the spread of the opioid epidemic and human trafficking (streetsmartoutreach.org), comprehensive case management, counseling, financial literacy instruction, independent skills training and many other services.
The evening will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, dinner, and an awards ceremony. The 2017 Spark! honorees include: AT&T and AT&T Pioneeers (Corporate Partner); Shake Shack, Bridgewater (Community Partner); Stan Prater, Jersey Central Power and Light (Community Leader); and Bonnie Hodge (Dedicated Volunteer). Lisa A. Warren, a former Board member, will honor two students with the 2017 Lisa A. Warren Scholarship, and the AT&T Pioneers will reward one student with the AT&T Pioneers Scholarship.
Walt Kane of Channel 12 News will serve as the keynote speaker at this year’s Annual Spark! Gala. Jersey Central Power and Light will serve as the Silver Sponsor for the Gala.

About Visions and Pathways
Visions and Pathways provides abused, neglected, homeless, and runaway youth with housing, a stable environment, and supportive services that guide them in becoming self-sufficient. Since 1970, over 8,000 youth throughout New Jersey have come to seek shelter, food, clothing, and support services. The agency provides 11 programs: Brahma House residential crisis intervention program; Passages, My Place and Whitney House residential transitional-living programs; Prosperity independent-living skills education program; Street Smart street outreach program; Transitional Learning Center for in-house education instruction; Bridge House and Village House, supportive-housing for aged-out youth, an Arts and Recreation Program, and Transitions aftercare program.
