W Hanover Ave. Closure Due To Downed Wires In Morris Twp.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — Part of West Hanover Avenue is closed because of downed wires, Morris Township police announced at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Officials closed the street between Chris Christie Way and Ketch Road.

About 700 customers — 7.6 percent of Morris Township — had no power as of 4:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light. While it wasn't immediately clear whether the outages were related, JCP&L crews will fix the downed wires.

JCP&L estimates power restoration by 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officials will place detours at West Hanover Avenue. Avoid the area, police said.
