WATCH: Black Bear Jogs Down Morristown Road

Was the bruin looking for food or just getting a little exercise?

Morristown is well know for its strolling and jogging areas, whether it be on traveled roadways or through one of the many park and trail areas.

Those strolls aren’t just for the two-legged, however. It looks like bears are taking up on the opportunity to get some exercise out in public.

Around 4 p.m. Sunday, July 5, a large bear was spotted going for a walk, then jog, down Picatinny Road between Western Avenue and Mendham Road. Resident Tina Baker, driving by, caught the bruin on video, which can be seen below.

Of course bears hanging around in Morris County is nothing new, but at least this one didn’t approach any children, as a recent story revealed in Long Valley.
